Giuliani

So yesterday I heard Mayor Rudy Giuliani. As could be expected, his presentation of himself and his message was excellent. He chose to spend the majority of his time talking about leadership, some thing he knows a thing or two about.

He outlined six principles of leadership:

No. 1 - know what you believe;
No. 2 - always be an optimism;
No. 3 - courage;
No. 4 - relentless preparation;
No. 5 - value of teamwork and of the team;
No. 6 - being able to communicate it to others.

Throughout the points, he used examples to illustrate his point, as for one he recalled moment from 9/11. He also invoked the memory of Ronald Reagan much. Throughout it all, believe he did a great job of highlighting his strength as a strong national defense and free market candidate. He was also very personable. You found yourself drawn to him and really wanting to root for him. Overall did his presentation change my overall perception of Rudy? Not really, but I enjoyed the opportunity to listen to a man who along with our President provided so much leadership and strength when our country needed it most.
